A breakthrough in Comms...
Officer No. 19980
Report
I understand that it must have been for what seemed like forever since my last report command...but please excuse my absense. My terminal over here has been down for what seemed to be the longest time, but I've got it running again.
Things have been crazy over here at Rural, attacks spawning in much more often than before. We've been deployed around the perimeter as often as you can think, always on lookout for more resistance members. If it would have been just me here, I would have been overrun weeks ago.
Thank God that I found my most capable comrades again on the comms. Of. Mikail and Of. Tylis of the 29th Overwatch came to my support when I most needed it. The Darkest hours of the assaults are over, as now we just have small border skirmishes with local resistance pockets. I recently got my promotion to a 1st Class Officer by Regional Command. Something to be proud of at least.
The academy is just the way we left it. Well...a little harder. New classes to take, much harder than the old ones. This is the AP platoons now...frekin Advanced Infantry. Bloody hard...our trainer is way strict on us. I guess we're learning new things...but that program has killed of so many other recruits. We started with a full unit of 30, but now were whittled down to a small squad of 13...and they just keep dropping out. Pvt. 1st Class Kurian just got cut from our team just this week. A shame really, he was a damn fine Soldier. Some of the Officers just dont show up for the class period. Maybe its the fear of our trainer, or the sickness induced by the stress. Either way, this is one hardcore Platoon.
Im not longer an out-of-field officer, because i am more actively involved in what happens on base. Well, i guess that could still count me out of the field. I see combat on a regular basis...but not as much as the other soldiers. I do what I can.
Today was one of our hardest assesment test ever handed to us. I think i may have totally bombed the assesment...and i dread the result of such a failure. Whatever awaits me, I'll be prepared for it I guess.
I'll try to Keep this Chanell open to keep feeding reports in.
